Breast  Ultrasound

Ultrasound of the breasts (sonogram) is used as both a diagnostic and screening tool. It is used as a diagnostic tool to further evaluate something felt within the breast or seen on a mammogram or other imaging test.   It is used as a screening test in conjunction with the mammogram for those of screening age, to further evaluate dense breast tissue.  Dr. Susman personally performs each sonogram and discusses the results at the conclusion of the examination.
